Product Overview
The 5800 Series is ASSA ABLOY Accentra's cast-iron door closer, the longest-serving heavy-duty platform in the Accentra lineup. The one-piece cast-iron body provides superior structural rigidity and heat dissipation, making the 5800 the preferred specification for institutional, industrial, and high-security openings where durability is non-negotiable.
ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1 certified, UL/cUL 10C 3-hour fire rated, and tested well beyond the required cycle counts, the 5800 handles doors up to 330 lbs and 48 inches wide. Adjustable spring sizes 1 through 6, separate sweep/latch/backcheck/delayed-action valves, and a temperature-compensating fluid maintain consistent closing performance from −30°F to +120°F.
Regular, parallel, and top-jamb mountings are available in the full range of architectural finishes, with optional covers, hold-open arms, and electromagnetic hold-open (5801 series) for life-safety applications tied to fire alarm systems. Backed by a 25-year manufacturer warranty.
