Product Overview
BSC masonry steel door frames in the 5-3/4" jamb depth are the industry-standard specification for 6" CMU and poured-concrete walls — the most common new-construction masonry configuration. Frames are 16-gauge A60 galvanneal or cold-rolled steel with factory-welded corners and fully welded integral stops.
ANSI A250.8 (SDI-100) Level 3 Heavy Duty, UL/cUL fire-rated up to 90 minutes. Standard three-sided assembly with hinge jamb, strike jamb, and head; blank-jamb and cased-opening variants available for sidelites, double-egress, and transom applications. Net opening dimensions are cut to the specific door size (2068, 3068, 3070, 3080, 4070, etc.) specified on the order.
Frames are prepped for 4-1/2" × 4-1/2" hinges (standard) and ASA 4-7/8" × 1-1/4" strike. Reinforcements for surface closer, exit device, electric strike, deadbolt at 48" AFF (ADA), and flush bolts are available as order options. Masonry T anchors, wire anchors, and floor anchors are sold as separate line items. Factory gray prime finish ready for field paint.
